Softball Programs

U9 Summer Softball 2026

This program is for players softball age 8 and 9 interested in playing Summer Softball. This summer program is designed to continue developing our players by giving the girls an opportunity to keep improving, play together, build confidence, and prepare for future U10 District tryouts in a fun and competitive environment.

Spring Managers and Coaches who wish to coach or manage must also apply by the registration deadline.

The program will consist of one or two teams depending on registration numbers. There will be no tryouts, and the program is open to any player willing to commit to practicing and playing throughout the summer.

Age: Softball ages 8-9

Cost: $150

Practice Location: Memorial Park Field 6 or 8

Games: Memorial Park or West Hartford

Game & practice dates: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Occasional weekend game.

June 9 – July 1
Participation can continue through July 19 if enough players are available, but participation after July 1 will not be mandatory.

We will be partnering with West Hartford, which has an established summer minors program that follows AA-style rules:

Kid pitch with coach assistance
Development-focused environment

If we have two teams, they will play games against each other and against West Hartford teams.

1–3 practices per week depending on the games that week.
Optional additional practices/workouts for players seeking extra development
Games & practices will be Tuesdays through Thursdays, with Occasional games on weekends.

With limited exceptions, players are expected to participate in all practices and games. Any days which might conflict with a game or practice must be disclosed at the time of registration.
