2024 Softball Age Chart
Ages 9-10
Birth Year 2013-2014

Schedule (Subject to change)
Two games and two practices per week (weekends and week day evenings).
Game schedules vary based on the number of teams and the schedules of surrounding towns. Games will be played in Simsbury, Granby, Torrington, Avon, Canton, and Farmington.

Equipment:
SLL provides jerseys, socks and visors. All players should have black softball pants, a glove, cleats, fielding mask and water bottle. Helmets with face cages are required. If players do not have their own helmet, bat or fielding mask, SLL will provide one.

Draft
This is the first level of softball with a draft. Players are chosen by the coaches in a player draft. All 9-year-olds not chosen in the draft will play AA.

Umpires
These games are umpired by league youth or adult umpires.
 
Volunteers Needed
If you are interested in becoming a Manager, Assistant Coach, or Parent Administrator for your child’s team, please indicate your desire to do so when you register online.  All volunteers are required to fill out a volunteer application which is located on the “volunteer” tab on the SLL website.
