What is a Team Administrator?

The Team Admins’ main role is to keep the team organized and create team unity. This can include any or all of the following:

  1. Sending weekly emails reminding parents of practices, games, schedule changes and other important information (Parade info, Team picture day, etc).

  2. Organizing team parties: Team building pizza or ice cream mini parties early in the season are a good way for your players to get to know each other and their coaches. This helps with team bonding and ultimately leads to the kids having more fun and the team playing well together. The snack shack serves ice cream, you can have pizza delivered to the fields, or meeting at Tulmeadow are all good options.

  3. Cheer cards: This can be a physical or digital card and is a nice thing for each family to have with players names and jersey numbers. Adding the player’s parents’ names can also help parents get to know each other. (See example below).

  4. Organizing treats for the players on a hot day after games (popsicles, ice cream, etc)

  5. End of season team party: At the end of your season, you can organize a team party usually on the picnic benches or pavilion at Memorial Park. Coaches can “reserve” a field and the kids can play kick ball or wiffle ball. This is when the manager usually talks about the season. In the past parents have ordered pizza, brought homemade treats, popsicles and drinks.

This list is not exhaustive, the Team Admin can make as much as they want to out of this position. The goal is to keep parents informed and to have fun!
