Simsbury Little League will once again use only non-professional umpires this season for both softball and baseball. Umpiring is a great way for kids to see the game from a different angle, learn more about the rules, and earn some money. The program has been a great success for many years, and many of our umpires come back again and again each year. The umpires will receive formal training as well as informal coaching throughout the season. 

Umpiring is open to all boys and girls league age 12 or older. If you are a recent SLL umpire or a parent of a child interested in umpiring this year, please fill in this Google form by February 14th.  

Required training will be at the District 6 Little League umpire clinic (for first year, second year, and other interested umpires) on March 14 at 11am to 4pm in Harwinton. 

Required SLL training for all umpires will occur in the weeks following the District 6 training. Training details will be shared after SLL umpire registration closes.
