Dust your gloves off, and join us for the Softball Winter Clinics;

Softball Hitting, Fielding, & Throwing Winter Clinics

Winter clinics will be once a week for 8 weeks. Each session will run for 50 minutes. You have the option to choose between Thursday evenings or Sunday afternoons.

Location: Connecticut Elite Baseball (29 Kripes Rd, East Granby, CT 06026)

Dates/Times: Starting February 3rd

  • Thursday evenings from 6:00PM - 6:50PM or 7:00PM - 7:50 (girls will be split into groups based on age and experience)
  • Sundays afternoons from 2:00PM - 2:50PM or 3:00PM - 3:50PM (girls will be split into groups based on age and experience)

Cost: $120 (non-refundable / no make-ups for illness or scheduling conflicts - If the clinic is canceled due to COVID a prorated refund will be issued)

Age: Birth Year 2014 and Older

Our objective is to provide student-athletes quality instruction in areas of catching, hitting, infield/outfield play as well as a professional style work-out with SHS coaches, Varsity and JV players.

Hitting: Our hitting clinic will offer young players the opportunity and challenge to participate in an intensive training program that teaches and stresses the mechanics and fundamentals of hitting.

Fielding: Aspiring Infielders! This winter clinic will explain and demonstrate in detail the most important fundamental skills for infielders 12 and under.  Parents are welcome to attend, watch, and ask questions as we aim to help our local community families help their young aspiring infielders improve as infielders over the winter months.

Themes: We will be using wall, cones, glove position, ready position options, lateral movement, short hops, working around the ball, using the stopwatch, basic glove and transfer drills.

Opened: 01/13/2022
Closes: 02/02/2022

2022 Softball Pitching Clinics - Session 2

Location: Latimer Lane School Gymnasium

Dates: Tuesdays from February 8th - March 8th (no clinics March 1st).

Time: 6PM-7PM or 7PM-8PM (girls will be split into groups based on age and experience)

Cost: $55 - The clinic will run for 4 weeks (non-refundable / no make-ups for illness or scheduling conflicts.  If the clinic is canceled due to COVID a prorated refund will be issued.)

Age: Birth Year 2012 and Older

The clinics will be conducted by SHS and SLL coaches with assistance from Simsbury High School softball team members.  SHS varsity pitcher, Mikaela Martinez, will be providing pitching instruction.

Through the pitching clinics, the girls will work on developing sound pitching mechanics, learn from innovative drills, and receive excellent pitching instruction and advice from SHS varsity coaches and players.

Pitchers attending the clinic are required to bring someone to catch for them.  It would be helpful if this person is a parent or someone who will be practicing with the pitcher outside of the clinics.
