Spring Baseball

 

Below is information regarding the Spring Season incuding registration, division overview and player evaluations.

Baseball Registration Fees and Division Descriptions

Please contact registrar if you have more than 3 players in the league.

 

 

  • Baseball is open to both boys and girls.

  • To view the latest age determination chart for baseball, go to our Documents tab or click HERE.

  • Players must be 5 years old by 8/31 of the current spring season to play T-Ball.

  • Players can not be more than 12-years old

 

 

Birth Certificates:

  • T-Ball players and players who are new to SLL must submit a picture of their birth certificate to the League.

  • Certificates can be downloaded to the registration site or emailed to  .

  • Players will not be allowed to participate in practices and/or games until a copy of the birth certificate is received.

 

 

Early Registration Fees: (Jan. 3 - Jan. 31)
T-Ball & Farm A:  $140
AA, AAA & Majors:  $175

 

General Registration Fees: (Feb. 1 - Mar. 1)
T-Ball & Farm A:  $140
AA, AAA & Majors:  $195

 

Late Registration Fees: (If there is space on a roster)
T-Ball & Farm A:  $160
AA, AAA & Majors:  $215

 

Refund Policy:  No refunds will be issued once teams have been formed.  Exceptions to this policy may be requested of the Vice President in special circumstances such as medical injury.

Choosing not to play, or moving to another program does not qualify for a refund.

 

 


Baseball Ages & Divisions

Baseball Age 5

  • T-Ball:  All 5-year olds will be placed in T-Ball regardless of whether they have prior baseball experience

Baseball Age 6

  • Tball:  Players who are age 6 with no prior Little League experience will be placed in T-Ball.

  • Farm A:  Players who are age 6 and have played T-ball in an official Little League program will be placed in Farm A

Baseball Age 7

  • Farm A:  All players who are age 7 will be placed in Farm A.

Baseball Age 8

  • Farm AA:  All players who are age 8 will be placed in AA.

Baseball Age 9

  • AA:  The majority of 9-year olds will play AA.
    • Click HERE for more information on our AA program.
  • AAA: 9 yr olds with AA experience are eligible to be drafted in AAA. To be eligible to play in AAA, a 9-year old must attend evaluations. Please register for AAA if your 9 yr old plans to attend evaluations. Any 9 yr old who does not attend evaluations or is not selected for the AAA draft will be placed in AA.

Baseball Age 10

  • AAA:  All 10-year olds who were not drafted in AAA the previous year will be placed in AAA.

  • Majors: 10 yr olds who were drafted in AAA at age 9 are eligible to attend Majors evaluations. Please register for Majors if your 10 yr old with AAA experience plans to attend evaluations. Any 10 yr old who does not attend evaluations or is not selected for the Majors draft will be placed in AAA.

Baseball Age 11

  • AAA: 11 yr olds who do not attend evaluations will be placed in AAA.

  • Majors:  All 11-year-olds are eligible to attend Majors evaluations. Please register for Majors if your 11 yr old plans to attend evaluations. 11 yr olds who do not attend evaluations or are not selected for the majors’ draft will be placed in AAA.

  • Majors:  All 12-year olds will be placed in Majors.

Baseball Evaluations
Baseball evaluations will take place in early March to allow managers to determine the best placement of each player.  Evaluations help the league put together fair, safe and balanced teams.  Below are guidelines on who should attend evaluations:
 

  • 5, 6, 7 and 8-year olds do not attend evaluations
    • ​​Evaluations are only for players 9-years old and older.  Younger players may not attend evaluations.

 

  • 9-Year olds
    • The evaluations are optional for all 9-year olds who would like to play in AAA.
    • Any 9-year old who has AA experience and would like to be eligible to play in AAA MUST attend evaluations.  If a 9-year old does not attend the evaluations he/she will not be eligible to play in AAA.

 

  • 10-Year Olds
    • Evaluations for Majors are optional for 10-year olds only if they were drafted into AAA the previous year as a 9 yr old.

 

  • 11-Year Olds
    • The evaluations are optional for all 11-year olds who would like to play in Majors.
    • Any 11-year old who has prior Spring AAA experience and would like to be eligible to play in Majors MUST attend evaluations.  If an 11-year old does not attend the evaluations they will not be eligible to play in majors.
